About Us

Our
Story
Our focus is to support the social interaction of men in transitional periods and to address issues of men’s mental, physical, and emotional health. In practical terms this is achieved by the mutual acknowledgement of peers and providing the means to “make stuff” and the gratification of “giving stuff away” in a very sustainable environment.
We grew out of a simple at home hobby where Kim Butcher encouraged friends to come along to his garage and make toys by recycling timber. The numbers grew and the group become known as 'Kim's Toy Boys'. After several relocations because of growing numbers and a name change to the Mandurah Men's Shed the current location was obtained in 2016. The Shed is an incorporated not-for-profit charity.
with over 60 volunteers (members) operating five days a week from 8am to 1pm.
